5 Cool Activities To Try This Summer in Metro Manila



It's the time of the year again to make fun activities under the sun! Yes, summer is definitely here and I am sure many of us have prepared a lot of things to do in the next coming weeks.

Some would go to a nature trip in Palawan, some would intend to have a vacation in Tagaytay or some may explore the beautiful Grande Island in Subic. But if you're staying in Manila this coming summer break, here are some of the cool (some are extreme) activities that worth a try:

1. Breakout Manila

Breakout Manila is a fun and exciting room escape game. Basically, the room is filled with intricate logic puzzles where you have to solve in order to breakout. 

The Goal: You and your team (around 5-8 persons) are trapped in a room (a very dark and unique room). The goal is to escape in 30 minutes. Plan as a team, solve puzzles, and escape the cage (and the flesh-eating zombies. Wahaha ☺) before time expires.


Schedule: Open on Weekends for the general public.
Venue: Paragon Plaza Ground floor Reliance St., corner EDSA, Mandaluyong, Philippines


2. Slidefest Philippines

Do you want to experience a 1,000 feet of pure happiness. Yes-- 1,000 feet. That’s the length of over 10 basketball courts, or 3,000 doughnuts.

If yes, Slidefest is for you!

Slidefest Philippines is the first family-friendly, adrenalin-pumping GIANT slip-and-slide water event in the country. It is more than just a slide, it’s a festival. There will be music, food, drinks, water balloons, water guns, and the biggest slip-and-slide ever to hit the streets of the Philippines.

3. Urban Guerilla Race

Another cool activity to try this summer is the Guerilla Race. Guerilla Race is a series of hardcore Obstacle Course Racing in the Philippines. Designed by a Philippine Army Scout Ranger, Guerilla Race will test your strength, stamina, mental spirit, and resilience. It is a race that challenges you to step up in the face of adversity, all while still having fun.

The Goal: To get you out of your comfort zone. In the trails of mud, fire and water, you’ll surprise yourself as you willingly throw your body in each and every obstacle that stands in your way; determined to overcome, conquer and triumph.

4. Planet Games 3

Calling all gymaholics as Planet Infinity brings you the Planet Games 3.

The Planet Games was conceptualized by Planet Infinity three years ago, with the main goal of promoting health while building a community among our members and friends. With its success in the past two years, it now became an annual event of our gym. Now on its 3rd year, Planet Games 3 is expected to follow the legacy of the previous games.

Schedule: May 30, 2015
Venue: Quezon City Memorial Circle

5. Cyburban Wildlife Adventure

Last but not the least is the Cyburban Wildlife Adventure (CWA2015).

CWA 2015 is a first-of-its-kind smartphone-based real-life adventure game for a great cause. Cyburban app, a location-based casual adventure game, will be your companion to complete this one-of-kind epic outdoor journey. Scan codes, complete puzzles, and locate challenges through the app.
