Savor French-Filipino dishes at Bastille Bistro Sucat

In search for a new hangout place last Friday night, we discovered a newly opened restaurant in Santana Groove, Sucat, Paranaque - the Bastille Bistro.

While walking at the corridor of Sanata Groove, my friend and I noticed their menu outside with a sign "Croc Sisig" and suddenly it reminds me of our Palawan Adventure and ended up spending our Friday chill out at this French-inspired resto.

The Place: ★★★★✩ (4/5)

Upon entering the place, I immediately feel the perfectly arranged decors and paintings. Medyo sosyal at nakaka-intimidate sa una. Haha!

The interior is very minimalist, the color is neutral and its high ceiling added a cozy feel.

They also have al fresco area perfect for smokers. The resto is good for approx 60+pax and has free wifi connection.

Food:★★★★✩ (4/5)

Since it was a Friday "chill out" night, we ordered everything on their specialty list. To start a good food, we ordered Shrimp Quesadilla - combination of shrimp, cheese, bell pepper, onion and sour cream wrapped in whole wheat pita.

We also had their special Crispy Croc Sigsig on Melba Toast. At first, I was hesitant to order this meal assuming that this is not an authentic crocodile meat. But when I confirmed with their owner, he said that they are using an authentic crocodile meat from Palawan.

Bastille's version of Crispy Croc Sisig is a must try. There's a bitter'ish after taste because of the added chicken liver pole. But overall, it's truly MASARAP! :)

To complement our Friday chill out night, we also ordered Brew Kettle beer. Bastille Bistro is also serving different types of wine, beers, cocktails and shots.

For carbo loading, we had Roasted Coq Au Vin. Basically it's a roasted chicken (they mentioned that they added red wine) side with bacon and roasted vegetables. The food is great but it's too oily.

And finally, a perfect way to end a good food is to have a sweet ending. Since I am an avid fan of Leche Flan, we tried their Fried Leche Flan.

Their version of fried leche flan is just right to close a hustle and busy week. The ice cream on the side complements the not-too-sweet leche flan. Approved!
